Coptis perennial plant, leaf base, hard paper, ovate-triangular, Mitsutomo-lobed, Central Lobe Ovate-rhombic, pinnately parted, margin sharply serrate, lateral lobes unequal 2-parted; Petiole 5-12 cm long.
