Medicinal part：The tuberous root of Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lour.)Merr.

Plant forms：Perennial climbing herbs, glabrous throughout. Berry globose, red when ripe; 1 seed. Flowering from may to July, fruiting in                       August.

Origin  distribution: Distributed in gansu, sichuan, guizhou, yunnan and other places.

Harvesting and processing: Autumn, winter digging, wash, remove the stem base and fibrous roots, boiling water or steam to the heart,                                              remove the skin while it is hot, wash, dry.

Medicinal properties: Fusiform shape, slightly curved, 5 ~ 18 cm long, 0.5 ~ 2 cm in diameter. Surface yellowish-white to yellowish                                            brown, translucent, smooth or with varying depth of longitudinal wrinkles, occasionally with residual grayish brown                                    skin. Hard or soft, sticky, cutin cross section, middle column yellow and white. The air is small, the taste is sweet,                                      slightly bitter.
